Well done to Karen, Kay, Margaret and Me who challenged ourselves this Saturday to the Clonee 8 Mile Road Race. The level of fitness there was incredibly high. Most of the participants were men putting them at a distinct advantage. Secondly, they also appeared to be very serious runners.

The winner of the 8 mile race ran it in 43mins. Karen came in at 58Mins. Margaret, Kay and Me: 86mins.

An excellent achievement to all of us. Im already planning my next race.

Skate Train Info

Some of you were asking about Skate Train. Take a look at http://www.skatetraindublin.blogspot.com/ Anyone who works in a busy office is sure to find someone who has a pair of skates so one idea is to pop a notice up on your notice board to see if you can get a second hand pair. You can always upgrade when you get really into it.

If you want state of the art skates at the best prices in town, contact Grant at http://www.wreckless.ie/ for gear. He has K2s for 150 (normally 200). These are the ferrari of skates and are so comfortable that you will want to wear them to bed. (ok, maybe not exactly)

New Route

Well done to Martella,Kay, Margaret, Aileen and Shira and a special welcome to Emily, Nuala and Joanne.

We deviated slightly today and increased our distance a little. Im feeling the burn but the fitness is coming and considering the whoops and yelps which we met along the way, perhaps its beginning to show.

Keep up the good work girls.
